2009 Football Volunteer Positions Available
The following volunteer positions are available. The generous volunteers who fill these positions are the people who make our football program successful. If you are interested in helping out, please contact our Football Representative, Wendy Tackett, at 6tacks@roadrunner.com.

Fall Football Program – The Football Program contains player and coach photos, profiles, and advertisements from throughout the community. The programs are sold at sporting events as a fundraiser. This is a mandatory fundraiser for all football players (excluding buyouts). The length of this fundraiser is approximately three-four months, April through July.
- Football Ads/Banner Controller: (Delia Schnell) Manages the overall process, including collecting ad/banner requests, money, and artwork from players and team moms. Maintains a spreadsheet that will be emailed to Delia Schnell. A hard copy of the spreadsheet, ads, banner requests, money, and artwork need to be given to Delia as well.
- Football Ads Coordinator: (Jeff Lindquist) Assists the controller in coordinating all of the various elements and gathering requests, money, etc.
- Football Banner Coordinator: (Chuck Bernard & Randy Bluhm)
- Football Ads/Banner Follow-up Coordinator: (Brian White) Follows up on returned checks and credit cards. Collects artwork that has not been handed in with ads/banners.
- 4 Additional Volunteers: Provide support to the program as defined by the controller.
Scorpion Discount Cards – The Scorpion Discount cards entitle the user to discounts at a wide variety of local businesses. The cards are sold as a fundraiser. This is a mandatory fundraiser for all football players (excluding buyouts). The length of this fundraiser is approximately three-four months, April thru July.*
- Football Discount Card Coordinator: (Denise McDowell) Manages the overall process, including contacting current businesses already on the card to see if they want to participate again and contacting new businesses that would like to participate. Orders printing of cards. Organizes cards and selling instructions to hand out to players. Organizes Blitz Night.
- Football Discount Card Controller: (Lisa Stevens) Maintains a spreadsheet for money collected. Helps coordinate Blitz Night.
- Additional Volunteer: (Diane Benson)Provides support to the program as defined by the controller. *These positions will be approximately 1 month.
Football Car Wash – The football car wash is another opportunity for players to raise funds. This is also a mandatory fundraiser for all football players (excluding buyouts). Details of these positions are still being determined, as we’re investigating some new opportunities this year.

Collecting Football Physical Forms – Current Physical Forms are required for all football players. Players will not be allowed to practice without one.
- Varsity Physical Form Coordinator: (Annette Hernandez) Ensures that all varsity football players have a current physical form. Ensure forms are completely filled out and follow up if they are incomplete. Keep track as they are turned in.Collects forms for coach.
- JV Physical Form Coordinator: (Debra Bileschi) Ensures that all JV football players have a current physical form. Ensure forms are completely filled out and follow up if they are incomplete. Keep track as they are turned in.Collects forms for coach.
- Freshman Physical Form Coordinator: (Carol Cahvez) Ensures that all Freshman football players have a current physical form. Ensure forms are completely filled out and follow up if they are incomplete. Keep track as they are turned in.Collects forms for coach.
Scorpion Club – The Scorpion Club provides paid members with reserved parking, reserved seating, and a Program at all home Varsity football games.
- Scorpion Club Coordinator: (Gaye Wismann) Orders passes, collects money, coordinates a seating chart, prints “reserved” signs with seat numbers and family’s name, at 3:00 pm reserves front row parking in upper parking lot with cones. After JV home games, places “reserved” signs on proper seats, ropes off designated Scorpion Club area.
- Scorpion Club Coordinator’s Assistant: At 3:00 pm helps the coordinator reserve parking in upper parking lot with cones, coordinates and supplies parking lot volunteers with list of Scorpion Club members, calls volunteers one week prior to duty to reconfirm. Helps coordinator rope off designated area.
- 2 Weekly Volunteers (home games only): Two volunteers needed for each of two shifts. Varsity and freshman (Nancy Ruiz) 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.; JV and freshman (Yrma Depaz and Liz Vega) 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Directs Scorpion Club pass holders to designated parking spots, collects cones and returns them to coordinator. Will be able to attend the Varsity game at no charge.
Football Calendar Website
- Varsity Football Calendar Website Coordinator: (Diane Benson) Coordinates the football calendar and updates the changes on the website for the Varsity team.
- JV Football Calendar Website Coordinator: (Kelly Baker) Coordinates the football calendar and updates the changes on the website for the JV team.
- Freshman Football Calendar Website Coordinator: (Liz Vega) Coordinates the football calendar and updates the changes on the website for the Freshman team.
Football Snack Coordinator:
- Varsity (Lupe Pena)- Put together a schedule for snacks and drinks for passing leagues, tournaments and games. Make reminder calls to parents.
- JV – Put together a schedule for snacks and drinks for passing leagues, tournaments and games. Make reminder calls to parents.
- Freshman (Ruby Barron) - Put together a schedule for snacks and drinks for passing leagues, tournaments, and games. Make reminder calls to parents.
Senior Night Coordinator (Irene Rodriguez): Senior night is when we honor the senior football players, cheerleaders and their parents. This takes place usually in October, on the football field, immediately before the beginning of a home game. Coordinator would put together a list of the players, cheerleaders and their parent escort. Order flowers and arrange for photographer. Be available during the ceremony to organize parents and hand out flowers.
Football Financial Controller (Erika Anaya): Create,update, and manage overall financial spreadsheet for Varsity, JV, and Freshman football players. Track spirit pack and fundraiser payments. Track deadlines and notify players of those financial deadlines. Work with team parents.
Football Game Filming/Web (Zandro Diaz): Film Varsity games and upload to website. Various other digital media work as required.
